Bryl lives on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Her writing career began at school when she had an essay and two short stories published in the local newspaper. She adapted The Taming of the Shrew for performance by her Year 6 class and wrote plays and poetry in her high school years. More recently she completed writing courses with the Australian Writers Centre and the Writers Studio. Her interests include cycling, travel and hiking in the Noosa hinterland where she gains inspiration for her writing.
