Résumé

Across space, in the vast expanse between the realms, Odin and the Gods of Asgard do battle with the Jotunn. The Jotunn have managed to destroy one planet already, forcing the realms to unite against them, beating them back. As the years pass, Jotunheim continues to plot and amass forces in the background, preparing for a new age of war. But it may arrive sooner than even they expect.  As a result of Thor interfering with his adoptive brother's plans, one of the Jotunn Lords discovers the whereabouts of Loki's family on Jotunheim, and has already dispatched soldiers to apprehend them. One of Loki's children, Fenrir, lies on a snowy hill, chained to an embedded bear trap of dwarven make.
He watches as the Jotunn ships fly by, heading toward his home, and realizes that in order to move forward, some parts of himself will have to be left behind. Soon, the children of Angrboda-that woman who will one day be known as the Mother of Monsters-must band together against the world itself, fighting tooth and nail for the right to live, to exist, to be free. They will stand. They will fight.
And there will be a great cost. War of the Nine is a series of short tales re-imagining various Norse Myths in a Sci-Fi, Star Wars-like setting. They are linear. They are all connected. Each one is another step toward the immutable fate of the Nine Realms, one that not even the Gods can prevent: Ragnarok itself.
