Crockett was a Free Church minister who gave up the pulpit when his novels sold, and wrote some sixty books; he knew this ground and these graves personally, and the persecution here is not decorative.

A propos de S. R. Crockett

S. R. Crockett (1859-1914) was a Scottish novelist. He served as a Free Church minister before turning to writing, and published a series of historical romances set in Galloway, including The Men of the Moss-Hags (1895).
