The Lubeck Diversion is the fifth of a series of novels based around the career of Edwin Coulter in the British Intelligence Services from the 1980's to the end of the 20th century. The Lubeck Diversion follows the rehabilitation of the hero after the near catastrophic end to his mission in Ireland.
It is an exploration of way that a shared experience can affect each individual in a dramatically different manner. It takes Coulter from sun kissed Cyprus to winter in the old Hanseatic city of Lubeck before a dramatic conclusion in the Rhineland.
