It is a science fiction thriller set shortly, where death is no longer the end, but a mysterious beginning. When advances in quantum physics reveal that human consciousness survives forty days after biological death, suspended in a cosmic vibrational field known as the quantum consciousness network, the world reels. Scientists call this state "half-life." But what was supposed to be a window into the secrets of the soul soon turns into something much stranger...
and much more dangerous. A group of orphans killed in a mass accident refuse to move on. Instead, they hack into their communicators, sending cryptic messages to the living. The children, now forming a unified collective consciousness, reconstitute the network itself. The government wants to shut it down entirely, risking erasing every memorable soul. But the truth is much darker: The children weren't trying to survive.
