The Light After

The Light After is a novella about silence, about a kind of rescue that comes not from outside, but from within-and about words that remain even when there was no cry for help. At the heart of the story is a child's diary, found drifting at sea. A few pages, wet and fragile, become the reason for one man to go back into the ocean-not to save someone, but to remember who he is. This is not a story of catastrophe.
This is a story about how to be heard is to remain. And sometimes, an empty page is exactly how something ends.
