The Life and Mission of Hanuman

The Life and Mission of Hanuman is an English translation of the spiritual writings of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, which explores the life of the Hindu deity Hanuman. Translated by Sri Jogi Siddayya and published in 2004 by the Raga Ragini Trust Avadhoota Datta Peetham, the book is a comprehensive look at Hanuman's life and philosophy, compiled from various sacred texts like the Valmiki Ramayana, Parasara Samhita, and Puranas.
The narrative covers Hanuman's divine origin as the son of Anjana Devi and Vayu, the wind god, and his early life, including his mischievous pranks and his education from the sun god Surya. It highlights how celestial boons granted him immense strength, intelligence, and immunity to weapons. The book explains his key role in the Ramayana epic, from his leap across the ocean to find Sita to his valorous battles against demons like Ravana, Mairavana, and Satakantha Ravana.
