The Last Seedkeeper

Twelve-year-old Kofi Asante has always been the most ordinary boy in Greenbow. He does not play football well, he cannot solve maths problems fast enough, and his classmates have mostly forgotten he exists. But when a school field trip takes him to the edge of the ancient Nyankopon Forest, everything changes. An ancient tree speaks to him. Not in dreams. Not in whispers. Right there in broad daylight, with his teacher yelling at him to stop hugging the bark.
Suddenly, Kofi can hear every plant around him, their laughter, their secrets, and their terror. Because the forest is dying. Something dark is creeping through its roots, and the man smiling at everyone in town with his perfect white teeth might have everything to do with it. Kofi has three days, two terrified friends, one very dramatic three-thousand-year-old tree spirit who keeps asking about WiFi, and absolutely zero experience saving the world.
He will have to be enough.
