The Last Reservation is a mystery-thriller set at an isolated inn on a Vermont lake, cut off by a blizzard. When Julian is found murdered in the inn's boathouse the next morning, the storm has already sealed off the roads and phone lines, leaving Mara to investigate with no outside help and no one above suspicion. As she digs through the guests' pasts, she uncovers a trail of financial fraud, a decades-old family cover-up, and a connection to her own sister's unsolved disappearance - buried on the same shoreline for ten years.
