Résumé
The dodo is famous around the world, but what do people truly know about this legendary bird? The Last Dodo will bring its readers close to something that only a few people have ever witnessed: dodo life. This fictional story revolves around Roland, a fearless and ambitious dodo who is striving to save his species from extinction. His adventures and encounters with other native Mauritian species reveal many known and unknown facts about the dodo.
Can he change the image of the dodo that most people have in mind? Will Roland survive and change the course of natural history? The struggle for life is universal and not unique to the dodo, which is why the author is on a mission to protect endangered animals today. All royalties are donated to the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation (MWF). Each copy sold makes a difference. The MWF is a non-governmental organization concerned with the conservation and preservation of endangered plant and animal species.
The work carried out in Mauritius is one of the world's most successful conservation stories. MWF's restoration work has succeeded in rescuing the Mauritius Kestrel, the Echo Parakeet, and the Pink Pigeon from the brink of extinction.
