The Koblymen

One hundred sacrificed Pre-Columbian Indians of the Mound-Builder civilization, their spirits insane from thousands of years of being trapped in a sealed cave beneath Prospector's Peak, combine their strength and take vengeance on the people of the town of Poole. A legend tells of an offering of treasure buried with the Indians. A prospector, in the first half of the twentieth century, spends 20 years digging a mine down into Prospector's Peak looking for the treasure but discovers a vein of gold instead.
Rumors spread of the prospector's murder by a man, suddenly wealthy, who uses the wealth to put the town under his thumb. The Belknaps move from the big city to escape crime, but unexplained phenomena in Poole soon affect their minds and drive them to violence. They must find a solution in a town that has accepted the violence as a normal part of life. Will Grant and Terry Belknap be able to solve the problem of the violence-causing phenomena before they lose their perfect place...
