The Key Party

Elaine had heard of them before, of course she had. It was 1969. But, when Mike came home that night with an invitation to a 'Key Party, ' she was floored. Her husband of seven years wanted her to. Gulp. Her first reaction was no way in hell, leaving him sitting alone in the den. Running down the hall with tears streaming down her face, slamming the bedroom door behind her. It took a lot of talking, and even discussing it with her friend Amy, before she gave in.
She was willing to go along with it, just this one time. Maybe Mike was right? They had gotten into a rut. There was just no zing anymore. Elaine wasn't a teeny bopper. She'd never hopped indiscriminately from bed to bed like the young girls did now. She'd been a virgin when she married Mike, like most of her friends she supposed. Saving herself for her loving husband. A husband that now seemed quite willing to give her away.
Risk their marriage, all for the chance to nail some other woman. Of course, she'd be experimenting too. Just as guilty of adultery as he was by the end of the night.
