Résumé

The Kabbalah of Archangel Israel reflects the inner quest of humankind to reach the light, leaving behind the world of flesh and fear. Israel was the angel who wrestled with Jacob at the ford of Jabbok, changing his life and making him the father of a great nation, the nation of Israel with its 12 tribes. Similarly, Israel urges us every day to fight against chaos and death by fleeing from the carnality that surrounds us, for man's greatest enemy is himself.
Religious people think Jacob wrestled with God at the ford of Jabbok, but only a fool would think that, because God would never descend to earth to physically wrestle with a human being. He acted through angels, and each angel has its function, and in this case, He sent Israel, the angel of inner transformation. Israel's function is to press man to overcome his serpent skin and present himself as an approved worker before the Creator.
The name Israel says it all. It is man leaving his physical and carnal state and approaching a higher and eternal state. It is man who becomes a tabernacle of light for the Creator at the same time as his carnal body dies and perishes. How can one die? After birth, a human being grows, and as they reach adulthood, their cells gradually die, which is old age, aging. However, for the person who is with the Creator, at the same time that their physical body is perishing, a body of glory is emerging, a body of light, the chariot of the Creator, the Merkavah.
For He Himself said that our body is His temple. It is His time, not the time of hatred, jealousy, weakness, carnality, etc., therefore Israel needs to press man so that his carnal nature may be consumed, but within him may arise an eternal and marvelous nature. This is the work of Israel, for it also works in the Sign of the Virgin, which represents the bride of the Lamb, because only if we are connected to the body of this virgin, which is both the church and Israel, can we enter the Heavenly Jerusalem.
