Résumé

Art Athlam races through the forest, driven by the urgency of a letter of introduction in his pocket. He should have departed earlier, but the allure of Aania's lessons and whispered promises delayed him. As he pushes through the woods, a massive bipedal lizard blocks his path. Art channels energy into his fist and lands a powerful blow on the creature, sending it crashing through the trees. He quickly follows up with a kick that kills the beast before dashing onward, determined to reach the forest's edge faster than ever before.
Days later, Art stumbles upon a group of merchant carriages surrounded by bandits.
