Résumé

In the annals of modern African history, few figures loom as large or cast as long a shadow as Yahya Jammeh. From his humble beginnings to his meteoric rise to power, Jammeh's journey is one marked by ambition, intrigue, and ultimately, the iron grip of dictatorship. In "The Iron Grip: Yahya Jammeh's Reign of Power, " we delve deep into the life and legacy of this enigmatic figure, unraveling the complex web of power and oppression that defined his rule.
Yahya Jammeh emerged onto the political scene of The Gambia, a small West African nation nestled along the banks of the majestic River Gambia, at a time of great transition and upheaval. As we set the historical context, we are transported back to the twilight years of colonial rule, when the winds of change swept across the continent, heralding the dawn of independence. Against this backdrop of shifting power dynamics and nascent nationhood, Jammeh's story unfolds.
