They quickly find out that the entire adult population of the town is involved in secret and intimate gatherings at Mr.
Cooper's mansion. Agent Amber Paisley signs up and learns that Mr. Cooper is offering a different kind of experience: completely incognito sexual encounters with strangers. The most important aspect of the experience is voluntary sensory deprivation. The game is simple:Consenting adults. Voluntary sensory deprivation. Random picking of sexual partners while being blindfolded and wearing noise-canceling headphones.
Focus on the touch, the physical aspect of the intercourse. The identity of partners remains unknown. Amber joins one of the parties and realizes why everyone was talking about this small town, and what it felt like to be intimate with someone without being able to see or hear them. The identity of her lover, as well as her identity, remained a secret. During the course of several days, she learns that there were different levels and different games played at Cooper's mansion.
It soon becomes clear that there is more to the story than sensory deprivation and anonymous sex. Some of the new revelations threaten to change who she thought she was.
