After setting aside archaeological digs in the Sierra Nevadas, H. C. moved to Chengdu, China to study Mandarin Chinese.
During his writing journey, he has lived and traveled to more than a dozen countries. His hobbies include traveling, playing boardgames, creating constructed languages, backpacking, and reading.
