The Immortal

Jonah Cobb has lived for more than two centuries. He's survived wars, starvation, and plagues. He's suffered and been near death countless times, but he hasn't died because he can't. For some reason he's never been able to discover, he's immortal. He's accepted the fact that he's doomed to roam the earth alone, perhaps for all eternity. But during one brutal winter he encounters Clea Hatch. She and her son Joey live on a farm on the outskirts of a small town.
She helps him recover and feeds him in exchange for him working around the farm. Jonah has had his share of women in his long past, but none of them have touched his heart the way Clea does. He knows nothing will come of it, and eventually she'll grow old and die, and he'll have to go on living without her. Regardless, he wants to be part of her short lifetime. But will she accept his request now that she knows what he is?
