In the year 5662 humanity spans across the stars. An unknown number of people live on an unknown number of worlds. A full one percent of the Galaxy has been made our home. Central unity is anathema to extra-solar society. The closest thing that is acceptable is Vea Tessoraad, humanities banner, a strained bureaucracy. Humanity thinks it is alone but cannot see that it has been proven wrong. This is not a story about a single person, but about the experiences of many people.
from many walks of life and many worlds and nothing that connects them but for the sway it had on their lives. It is a story about Consara, a backwater within Vea Tessoraad long ignored until the events that transpired there. It is the story of Ibex, a moon barely known or noted. Seen as little more than another one of hundreds of colonies that ended in failure. This is a story about a 50 year long first contact between humanity and Sadah/Tila/the Angel/theThing.
About mistakes, about disasters, about war and about lessons learned. It is about trying to comprehend the incomprehensible. This anthology follows one narrative through the dozens of eyes that witnessed knowingly or unknowingly the end of one age and the start of another.
