Lafe Brisco had hunted buffalo, tracked killers, and survived country that buried weaker men before sundown. But when he rides into the broken grasslands beyond Red Fork, he finds more than a herd waiting for him. A ruthless hide boss has been stealing kills, threatening honest hunters, and leaving men dead where the coyotes can find them.
