Résumé

During a fierce lightning storm in Texas, a home-grown terrorist threatens to blow up a hydrogen tower in a petrochemical plant. Two politicians, enemies, must fight their desires and make personal sacrifices in the crisis. What will it take for the right and left to overcome their hubris and save their city, and maybe the world, from climate disaster?... Tanya drew herself up and let the wild urges settle.
She pointed a steady finger at him. "Every decision we make-EVERY decision-every promise...let's remember our children and grandchildren." Her vision seemed to blur after she'd spoken. "Don't be a coward, please."Pat shifted, probably to open the door for her, then seemed to change his mind. "Thank you for the chat, Senator, " she heard him saying but she was grasping and pressing the handle and pushing open the door.
The sexual was strangled by anger at herself for losing her way at a crucial political moment: feeling empathy for the enemy, and only throwing a weak desperate plea from the heart at the end, instead of grabbing him by the throat...
