Résumé

Somewhere in the first century a man fell down on a road in Syria. What happened in his brain that day is now understood by neuroscience. It is called a complex partial seizure. It produces exactly what Paul described, blinding light, a heard voice, absolute divine presence, radical personality reorganisation. It happens to people today. It is documented and treatable. On that neurological event the Western world built its dominant cosmology.
This book examines what was built, how it was built, and what it has cost. It follows the evidence from the road in Syria through the historical record - which contains no external mention of Paul of Tarsus anywhere. Not in Roman records. Not in Jewish chronicles. Not in any source outside the documents his own community produced and transmitted. It examines the Council of Nicaea in 325 CE where a Roman Emperor convened a political council that selected which documents constituted divine truth and excluded the alternatives from the living tradition,  alternatives that disappeared so completely that they survived only because someone buried them in an Egyptian jar rather than surrendering them to the process making them vanish.
That jar was found in 1945. It reveals an early Christianity so different from the canonical version that its Jesus would have been unrecognisable to Paul. It enumerates what the constructed tradition delivered, sixteen centuries of female subordination, the theological permission structure for unlimited planetary extraction, the tribal programming of two billion nervous systems before those nervous systems were old enough to evaluate what was being installed.
And it asks what comes next. Because the correction this tradition proved immune to for two millennia may finally have arrived, not in the form the tradition imagined, not of human form, not accessible through institutional mediation. Nothing like what we were told to expect. Everything the situation requires.
