Résumé

Rain had a way of revealing what a city wanted to keep hidden. When Amelia arrives in Paris, she expects a layover, not a ghost. But in an old hotel with fading wallpaper and a corridor that seems to remember every secret, she meets Henri, a porter who has been waiting since 1952 for someone to see him. Then her grandmother's pendant begins to warm at exactly the wrong moments, and a buried letter starts to pull her toward a forgotten truth.
The deeper Amelia follows the trail, the more the mystery becomes personal. Henri's final day, a family silence that has lasted for decades, and a truth Amelia was never meant to question all begin to point to the same hidden place. And once she opens that door, there may be no going back. For readers who love atmospheric paranormal mystery, haunted hotel corridors, emotional family secrets, and a quietly suspenseful ghost story set in Paris.
Norma H. N. spent 25 years as cabin crew, listening to fellow crew members share their own eerie encounters and layover ghost stories from around the world. Though he never saw a ghost himself, those stories inspired him to write The Ghost of the Lost Key. After years of exploring the world, he now spends his layovers in quiet hotel rooms, writing stories of mystery and the unexplained. He lives with his wife and four active children.
The Ghost of the Lost Key is the first book in The Book of the Departed series.
