Résumé

Gathering Storm is the sixth novel in the completed seven-book House of Atreus saga. It is a sweeping blend of Greek mythology, historical epic, science fiction, and dark fantasy that reimagines the legendary fall of Bronze Age Greece as humanity's first encounter with beings once mistaken for gods. The age of the gods is ending. Orestes has survived exile, monsters, and the murder that made him the most hunted man in Greece.
Now he, Iphigenia, and Pylades must reach Athens before Hekate's binding on the Furies fails-and before the truth destroys them first. Because the world itself is coming apart. Seas stand upright. Rivers forget how to flow. Temples fail, and the gods who ruled them are fracturing into something no one recognizes. Along the way, something ancient offers the fugitives a way out: oblivion without guilt, paradise without truth, unity without choice.
Each promises peace. Each is a lie. Then Orestes discovers what the gods have always been. The gods were never gods. They were wardens. And the prison they were built to guard is failing. As the companions pay a terrible price for the truth, they finally reach Athens, where Athena has already decided what must happen next: a trial that will not merely judge one man's guilt, but determine whether the age of gods should end at all.
Athens awaits. The trial is coming. If the gods fall first, there may be no one left to render judgment.
A. B. Goodman is an accomplished trial lawyer with extensive experience in high-stakes litigation and Wall Street securities law. He also serves as a financial industry arbitrator for FINRA, hearing and deciding disputes between securities firms and their clients - a role that has given him an insider's view of the conflicts, pressures, and hidden mechanics that shape the modern financial world. That world is the beating heart of The Bank, a legal and financial thriller that draws directly on his legal and financial experience to bring the feeling of authenticity to its labyrinth of banking cartels, surveillance systems, and buried crimes.
He is also the author of the epic science-fiction Singularity series and the mythological series House of Atreus - works that reveal a writer equally at home across vastly different genres and scales of storytelling.
