The Garden of Hafiz's Poetry

Stunning, spiritual, intimate, and playful, Hafiz's poems are masterpieces of world literature. For many Persians, Hafiz is not only a poet but also, somehow, a saint and the symbol of purity of heart, humanity, and love. Hafiz's works have influenced many poets after him. It is said that Hafiz's poems are the world's most profound, spiritual poetry. Goethe, the prominent German poet and writer, said, "Hafiz has no peer." This unique translation contains 70 sonnets and 30 short poems comprising Hafiz's most beautiful poetry.
