Collection of stories of the encounters of the contributing authors as they share their experiences in the foster care system. They faced many obstacles from their own family, foster parents and as they worked in the system. There are stories of abuse, neglect, self-doubt as well as stories of triumph as they overcame the situations life had dealth them. The foster care system as these authors have experienced is in need of improvement.
The goal of these authors is to bring awareness so that positive changes can be made to improve the lives of children in foster care.
