The End of the Universe

The brilliant but troubled cosmologist Dr. Jack Martins built the world's first spherical hologram. With it he created a 3 dimensional image so real it astonished a panel of scientists, politicians, and media in Washington, D. C. Further research enabled him to prove the validity of the Holographic Principle, and to show that the reality of our 3 dimensional universe can be described on a two dimensional boundary.
With his spherical holograms, Dr. Martins demonstrated that the universe we see through our telescopes might not really exist -- that it might just be a very real, very sophisticated illusion created on a 2-dimensional boundary out in space. NASA sent a deep space probe to the boundary calculated by Dr. Martins as the edge of the universe, just beyond Alpha Centauri. The probe disappeared shortly after reaching the Martins barrier.
