Mika is desperate and has been plagued by dark thoughts for some time. She wants to die and attempts suicide. She is then admitted to a psychiatric ward. But even there, her negative thoughts and feelings are her constant companions. She takes numerous medications to numb herself, shuts herself off, and refuses help. After many weeks of despair, Mika slowly begins to open up, allowing contact with her roommates and caregivers and trying to find a way out of her mental crisis with their support.
