Résumé
Ever have a breakdown in a bad part of town? That's just what happened to Melanie Li-only her breakdown is a tired, old space freighter and the bad part of town is an alien space station sixteen hundred light-years from Earth. To make matters worse she's caught between two members of her own crew-a pompous baboon and a prankster who just lives to puncture the egos of pompous baboons. Of course it's all good fun-until the prankster manages to offend a local alien power broker.
Then the hijinks really begin. Steven Mohan, Jr. has published scores of short stories in markets as diverse as INTERZONE, POLYPHONY, and PARADOX, as well as several DAW original anthologies. His short fiction has won honorable mention in THE YEAR'S BEST SCIENCE FICTION and THE YEAR'S BEST FANTASY AND HORROR.
