This book is written for language teachers and teacher trainers and presents the practical application and use of the Cuisenaire Rods in language classes. Eight chapters take the reader from zero to an autonomous level of skill wth clear and hands-on examples of creating a simple clock right up to the most complex of storytelling and business language. The author has include numerous images which show the rods in position.
The use of the rods in language teaching presupposes a certain approach which would probably come under the heading of Humanistic Approaches in the sense that the student or learner is central as opposed to the slightly more traditional view of the teacher as central.
