Résumé
At the turn of the nineteenth century, a group of eleven superstitious families from a small coastal village could see the writing on the wall. The world was changing, and they were not ready to be a part of what they saw building. The Edgar's slice of land in Scotland would be the best place to live as they saw fit, even as Flora, the newly pregnant wife of Samuel Edgar, protested the idea.
