Soon, Julian takes on a brilliant 17-year-old lab assistant named Emily, whose curiosity matches her anxiety (pp. 11-12). And when the dangerous villain known as The Nullifier strikes a local bank, Julian is forced into a brutal battle of kinetic energy (p. 10). Just as the stakes escalate, a mysterious storm tears through reality, dropping an unexpected ally into her path: Raul Poole, a masking-wearing hero known as "The Atomic Wind" from another world (pp.
17-18). As steel meets storm, Julian and Raul must learn to synchronize their powers (pp. 20, 39). The Nullifier is evolving, absorbing energy to grow stronger by the second, and an unknown cosmic signal is watching their every move from the shadows (pp. 22, 24).
