This book presents an original hypothesis which tries to answer some questions related to human evolution, such as the appearance of some specific human traits, but also to provide solutions to some problems. of human pathology, treated in the light of the particularities of human evolution. Also, this hypothesis offers new directions of research in several fields of biology and medical sciences. This is the translation of the original version of the book.
Since then, some predictions of this hypothesis were fulfilled by new discoveries and some of them became mainstream. Some of these ideas were developed and led to new hypotheses and new experiments. I see the hard biological part of this book pretty much the same. But the ethological part must be updated, taking into account some new ideas. This is a vision of a gerontologist on the human evolution.
