Résumé
Jump head-first into the Mythos of Baria series with this omnibus! Included are the first 5 books in the series, which are: The Awkward Heroes: After arriving at Bone Shakers to participate in a newbie Dungeons and Dragons session, Faust and three others find themselves tossed unceremoniously into a portal. In this new world, where they know nothing, they are forced to contend with the forces of nature.
Naturally, forces of nature include dog-sized Honey Badgers, an enigmatic giant teddy bear, and a necromancer who lives in a suspiciously shaped tower. As they adventure through the world, they discover a few facts of life. Bigotry is not only found on Earth, Minotaurs can have crushes on humans, and that sometimes love can soothe even the most savage of beasts. A Novel Infusion: Joseph owns a bookstore and has discovered that there are some strange things occurring in his backyard.
Come with him to discover just how mysterious they are and where they came from. From the standoffish vulture-hyena hybrid to the cuddly and mischievous Skunkoon, Joseph and his cat, Camille, explore the mysterious origins of these animals. The Wet Spot: After arriving in Scylisia six months prior, Joseph has been trying to adjust to his new life. From Skunkoons and Chipicorns appearing in his house, to Dust Bunnies literally biting his ankles, it's been a struggle.
Then, it turns out that there's an ancient being living in the cave just behind his house. With the help of his friends, he works to try and free this being. Naturally, along the way, he learns a little bit about himself and discovers what is actually important in life. Comfort & Joy: Thrust into the new world of Valmia, Chester has to do his best to get along with everybody and carve out a new life.
Only, it's a little difficult when you've got a chatty ermine, an Orc refugee, and a nearby town that's petrified of newcomers. Not to mention the fact that there's a magical forest behind the cabin that looks like it holds all sorts of mysteries. A Cruciferous Breeze: Thrust into the world of Tamoco, Brad has to figure out how to become a wizard. Unfortunately, due to some poor choices, he finds himself as an Eructationist.
Things really go down from here, as he fumbles through his classes and barely manages to pass. But! He's earned his JNCO jeans and red NY Yankees hat, to become one of the most mediocre wizards in the land. However, due to some unfortunate circumstances, the Grandmaster of the College of Magic needs a rare herb and only Bradley can go to get it. Follow Brad through a world where 90's references run rampant, everybody hates the Orcs because they look different, and hand-holding can be a bit dangerous if you're not wearing protection.
