The Cartographers Legacy

For generations, humanity has played the role of passive cartographers, navigating an uncooperative cosmos to map cold, dead worlds across the deep, uncharted boundaries of the Perseus Frontier. Aboard the ISS Solaris-an under-funded exploratory flagship equipped only with basic defensive shields and localized debris lasers-a small scientific crew sets out on what they believe is a routine mapping mission.
But simple observation is about to give way to something far greater. Deep in the dark, the crew uncovers the central Archive of the "Sol Engine": an interconnected, twelve-billion-year-old network of artificial star-building engines left behind by an ancient alien race known as the Caretakers. To unlock this grand galactic inheritance, they must learn to decode the Caretakers' math-an elegant, hyper-dimensional universal alphabet that governs the fundamental baseline grid of creation.
