It's Carnival time and the city is magical, ruled by the King of Night with his demons and the Queen of Day with her army of birds and animals. Mihalis Makropoulos est né à Athènes en 1965. En 1988, il obtient un diplôme en biologie de l'Université d'Athènes. Il a écrit de nombreux livres pour enfants et adultes qui ont été accueillis avec enthousiasme par la critique. Il travaille également en tant que traducteur. Katerina Veroutsou, Québécoise d'origine, travaille en Grèce et a publié plus de 100 livres pour enfants, de fiction et de non-fiction, avec les plus importantes maisons d'édition d'Athènes.
Elle a étudié à la Faculté des beaux-arts de l'Université Concordia, à Montréal, et a oeuvré comme peintre professionnelle pour des productions de télévision et de théâtre. Elle a reçu le prix National grec pour Illustration de l'année en 2010.
