Résumé

The Tragic History, The Struggles, The Prophecy, & A Note to the Unborn of GhanaGhana is trapped in what I call a cocoon of economic shocks that seem to have no end - a Sisyphean cycle that appears impossible to escape, which mocks even the greatest minds among us. Our present crisis has exposed the limits of their wisdom; indeed, it is beyond their experience. How do you lead something completely new to you? This has created a general spirit of silent frustration and depression among most of us.
Added to this national trauma is the potential danger of irresponsibility and the absence of sincerity among us. To further complicate the matter, the continued role political parties play in this drama is troubling, as the very thing they promised Ghanaians - "Freedom & Justice" - is being threatened. Millions of Ghanaians are without jobs, education, and are struggling with poverty. Civil strikes are occurring almost everywhere; most people are on the verge of cheating because they have been cheated, and there is confusion among the younger generation in our nation as they witness the struggle between what we hold in high esteem as our values and the same values we are vacillating about.
In light of the stark reality I have described, I have reached a modest conclusion: the pursuit of Freedom & Justice in our own country is our heaviest burden. Unfortunately, many of our political leaders have run out of solutions, with some resorting to tribalistic tendencies, others using propaganda to discredit opposing parties. Our issues surpass the capabilities of current policies and the loud cries of empty stomachs cannot be silenced by their silver-tongued promises.
Moreover, we cannot postpone the delivery of long-term economic benefits when the need is so pressing. In this book, Paa Kwasi Mfoamfo exposes:- The generational impact of our tragic history of oppression on our mental attitude towards our national future.- The need for us, Ghanaians, to now pray with our hands on our future, rather than just with our knees on the floor.- The need for more leadership in politicians, rather than more politicians in leadership; leaders who will tap into a deeper wisdom, beyond physical experience, to lead us through spiritual, social, and national transformation.
In this book, you, as the reader, will come into contact with the reality that:- You are an investment in the human race of Ghana, who should not just watch and stand by, but stand up for something, because almost everything is falling apart in our nation.- The quality of your life, your children's lives, and that of the unborn in our loins lies in our collective hands now, so every decision we make in this present, let us never forget to keep an eye on each other's future, because it is in that we will experience true "Freedom & Justice" in our lifetime. This book is for you.
It is for our children. It is for the unborn. And it is for all of us who call Ghana our homeland.
