San Francisco wedding planner Kate Jefferson couldn't have cared less that her former boyfriend was tying the knot.until his too rich/too thin/too snooty fiancée hired her to orchestrate The Event of the Century for them. With her business under threat of unfavorable publicity if even the teensiest thing goes wrong, Kate has no shortage of challenge in dealing with cost-cutting fathers-in-law, bickering bridesmaids, hourly demands and complaints from the bride, and a family emergency that forces her regular photographer to send a last-minute substitute named Jack Armstrong.
While the latter is clearly easy on the eyes and has an uncanny way of diffusing every crisis, he's also on the estate this weekend to capture something which has nothing to do with photographs in a wedding album.
