Résumé

Twelve-year-old Leo Finch is bored of life on the predictable farming moon of Oakhaven-until a late-night salvage run into Sector 4's junkyard changes everything. Buried deep in a rusted crate, Leo discovers a heavy, brass-rimmed compass made of dark glass that projects a brilliant beam of blue starlight pointing far beyond Imperial borders. When the elite Imperial Vanguard catches wind of the mysterious artifact and launches a colony-wide lockdown, Leo and his anxious best friend, Jax, are forced to flee into the stars aboard a battered cargo freighter.
Guided by the ancient device, the boys stumble upon a colossal alien gateway capable of unlocking the entire universe. Pursued by the ruthless Commander Vane, Leo must choose between hiding within the safety of the system or trusting an ancient map that promises a universe without walls.
