The Blackwater

When drought exposes the steeple of a drowned church beneath Blackwater Reservoir, Mara Sayer returns home for her mother's funeral and finds the town already remembering what it survived by forgetting. Old roads surface from the mud. Bells ring from below the waterline. To survive, she must learn what her mother knew, what the church concealed, and why some dead are not gone so much as misfiled. The Blackwater is a literary gothic horror novel about grief, buried truth, haunted infrastructure, and the terrible cost of keeping a town alive by lying about what lies beneath it.
