THE BIG MUSHROOM BATTLE is the battle with the mushrooms that ensues after Luisa encounters mushrooms growing in a rock garden near the front door of her house. She thinks they look very scary, but her mother, father, and older sister aren't concerned, and her friends don't help either.  She even dreams about the mushrooms coming at her like an army and is determined to fight them.
