Résumé

The Bench: A New EraYear 2031The bench in Central Park had seen generations come and go. It had borne witness to old rivalries between Redcoats and Bluecoats, the birth of BlindSpot's music, the pain of loss, and the slow, stubborn healing of a town that refused to stay broken. Now, in 2031, it stood as a quiet guardian of a new chapter - one shaped by the children who had grown up in the shadow of past struggles and were now stepping into their own futures.
Roseville was no longer defined by its wounds. The PurpleCoats Foundation had become a thriving part of community life. The forgotten corners of Pine Wood were slowly transforming. New families, new stories, and new possibilities were taking root. Howard Jenkins-Barker, now sixteen and in his final year of secondary school, stood at the edge of adulthood. He was considering Sixth Form in town - staying close to his friends, the Redcoats, and the community that had shaped him.
His creative voice, through GreenMemer and his work with BlindSpot, was helping to carry the town's spirit forward. Leena, at twelve, was full of music, curiosity, and dreams. Her blue junior guitar had been joined by a growing collection of instruments as she explored songs from around the world. The next generation - Evan McKennon, Elsie Jones, and many others - were growing up in a town that had learned how to protect its peace while remaining open to new beginnings.
The bench had seen monsters born from resentment. It had also seen people choose differently - choosing boundaries, kindness, creativity, and community. As another year unfolded, the bench waited patiently for the stories yet to be written. This was no longer just a town recovering from its past. This was A New Era. And the bench, as always, would be there to witness it all.
