MEREDITH MAY spent sixteen years at the San Francisco Chronicle, where her narrative reporting won the PEN USA Literary Award for Journalism and was short-listed for the Pulitzer Prize. She is coauthor of I, Who Did Not Die and is a fifth-generation beekeeper. She lives in San Francisco, where she keeps several hives in a community garden.
Claire Jones is a Maryland Certified Horticulturalist, garden designer, beekeeper, author, and photographer.
She is the owner of Claire Jones Landscapes, LLC, with work featured in Garden Design, The Wall Street Journal, and other publications. Her book, The Beekeeper's Guide, received a Silver Media Award, and she writes the award-winning blog The Garden Diaries. Chosen for many years to decorate the White House for Christmas, Claire is also a floral designer, Master Judge, and frequent speaker at garden events nationwide.
