Résumé
"The comedy is funny, the characters are well fleshed-out, and the adventure is a fun ride. Even the afterword hides a spine-chilling final touch. Griffis' books are a sure bet from beginning to end." - Upstream Reviews on The Auditors of Doom, Book Two of the Cthulhu, Amalgamated memoirs. THE MISADVENTURE CONTINUES!After his travels Down Among the Humans, our unsung every-Thing Shoggoth is back in the office, where first he has to elude the gooey clutches of the Auditors of Doom.
After one of Narg's wayward HR client warns him that something terrible is happening back on his home planet, our hero decides to investigate the rumour for Itself. Thus begins a journey to a land far stranger than the Earth Narg knew: a place called Texas!"A Cthulhian romp that's equal parts Terry Pratchett and Mel Brooks. and it just might be the funniest novel I've ever read.""The Thing From HR is largely a bawdy, irreverent, horror-comedy, with all that entails...most readers will find it hilarious.""What Roy Griffis has done is apply a completely new and fresh perspective to the Cthulhu mythos.
The Thing From HR is a snarky, humorous, darkly twisted view of the old ones. I was laughing audibly as I read it. It is witty, daring, and worthy of your time."- Various Reviewers onThe Thing from HR, Book One of the Cthulhu, Amalgamated memoirs."I laughed far too much...you'll enjoy dark humor, dry wit, slapstick moments, and elements of romantic comedy""One of the most cleverly amazing books I have read this year.""A wild and funny romp with horror and humour."Amazon reviewers on The Thing from HR, Book One of the Cthulhu, Amalgamated memoirs.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Book Three in the Escapade Fantastique that is the Cthulhu, Amalgamated memoirs, The Breakroom of a Thousand Nightmares, draws ever closer, like the inexorable approach of a Shambling Lurker From The Places Outside Of Time And Space. There were demons roaming the hallway when I nipped into the Breakroom of a Thousand Nightmares. The Inferni rather gawked as they beheld the Malignant Magnificence of our little corporate corner of The Infinite Madness Beyond The Stars.
Drippy was on duty. I was pleased to note it was nowhere near the pastries (Gingermen today, well-pressed and roasted to a lovely brown colour), for one learned long ago that when the Visitation Known As "The Cold Sweats" was working round comestibles, unsightly mould upon the delicacies was the least of one's concerns about the snacks. Rather like a fog-bank, the Visitation was on clean-up duty, making the most of its natural gifts, as it were.
