Résumé

The day a stranger appears at Rosa's door in the middle of a blizzard, she knows one thing for sure:Her "normal" life is over. Seventeen-year-old Rosa has spent two years trying to escape the terrifying gift she inherited, the ability to hear voices from beyond. But this visitor doesn't come with ghost stories. He comes with a mission. Atlantis is rising. And Rosa has been chosen to help bring it back.
Within weeks, she and her cousin Jerome are whisked from the Denver suburbs to a remote Greek island where an eerie break-in, a sunken city beneath the sea, and a furious stone statue known as the Atlantean Horse reveal an impossible truth: their family is tied to Atlantis itself. To reunite a lost world, Rosa must recover the sacred Feathers of the Phoenix, before ruthless enemies reach them first.
Because once the hunt begins, there's no turning back."Thrilling and atmospheric, this Atlantis adventure hooks fast, blending ghosts, mystery, and nonstop danger beautifully. Highly recommended, " The International Review of Books.
I'm a lover of mythology, myths, legends, and tales from the ancient/medieval worlds, and how all of these have transcended time and space into our world today. The myths and legends don't fade away. They are just repackaged for a new audience.  As a high school English teacher, I continually challenged my students to find connections between today and times long gone by. Some took more digging than others, but the connections were always there I write Arthurian Legend for young readers and teens.
These stories exhibit what I consider to be cornerstones of that Legend: Courage, Honor, Loyalty, and Friendship. My tales from Egypt and my new series Feathers of the Phoenix meld the ancient/medieval worlds with today. The Atlantean Horse (Book 1 of Feathers of the Phoenix) also brings forth the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse out of the Bible and into the modern world. My Grandma/Grandpa's Tales, short illustrated tales, help youngest readers build their reading skills.
T stories can be used with age 4 up to age 7 or higher is your child is an emerging reader. P. S. I believe in magic and Unicorns!!
