Chief Apostle Odell Bunton Sr., a General and Mighty Warrior in the body of Christ, was born in Austin, TX, to Deshay Bunton Sr. and Ruthie Mae Bunton, the youngest of eight children. From an early age, God's call on his life was evident, setting him on a path of faithful service and leadership in ministry. In 1992, he was united in holy matrimony with Ms. Donna Lynn Green, and together they began their journey of ministry, initially serving under the leadership of Bishop and Pastor Norman until God released them to follow His specific direction.
Answering the Spirit's call, they joined Solid Rock Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Norris Thomas and 1st Lady Thomas, serving faithfully as church Evangelist for three years. Through the guidance of the Lord, Chief Apostle Odell Bunton Sr. and Apostle Donna Bunton were led to establish New Deliverance Ministries in Austin, TX, where he served as Senior Pastor for three and a half years.
Following God's leading, the Buntons relocated to Fort Worth, TX, where, through prayer and divine direction, they birthed The International Purpose and Destiny Center, with the motto, "Where People Are Delivered and Purpose Is Discovered." Here, they serve as Chief Apostle and Apostle alongside their five anointed children-Za'Quisha (youth pastor), Bishop Matthew, Elder Odell Jr., Oddessty (gone home to be with the Lord), and Johnathan-who actively minister in song and spiritual warfare.
The Buntons are also proud grandparents to eight grandsons and three granddaughters, all sharing in their passion for advancing God's kingdom. In 2015, after being affirmed as Apostle, the Buntons established The Worldwide Covenant Fellowship of Churches Incorporated, with the motto, "I Am My Brother's Helper." Chief Apostle Bunton serves as Chief Executive Officer and Prelate, traveling the world to preach and teach God's message of deliverance, unity, healing, prophetic insight, evangelism, and spiritual refreshment.
His ministry is marked by the power of release and the manifestation of God's presence, resulting in countless signs, wonders, and testimonies that glorify God.
