The American and the Boy Sicario

Mexican drug cartels can reach out and touch lives all over the world, including Mid-West America.  Special Agent Billie Franks and Detective Nestor Casita are members of a federal drug task force who are assigned to help a family of Mexican immigrants find a relative who disappeared under suspicious circumstances.  Their investigation takes them deep into the heart of Northern Mexico and the Sinaloa drug cartel, as it bends the lines between good guy and bad guy; and between hero and villain.  A husband and father, and a young orphan, are violently ripped from their normally peaceful and safe lives, and thrown together by fate.
They must forge a friendship and count on each other if they hope to survive.  And if Nestor and Billie are going to find them and bring them home, they'll have to navigate through a world of backward rules, or no rules at all.
