Somewhere between the two worlds is Teach-a mysterious instructor who seems to know far more about Gemz than they should.
As Gemz begins experiencing the cards instead of simply learning them, the line between a reading and reality starts disappearing. A card she doesn't like refuses to stay buried. A reading begins revealing something-or someone-she can't explain. And the more she learns, the more she realizes that everybody has a card. Including her.
