You may be the boss who started small and now has a mixture of staff in support. It may seem that the Finance people slave away in their corner of the business and the Human Resources Guys are immersed in whatever it is they do and you wonder are they a necessary evil or can they add value?Every business has a bottom line.
It must make money, generate cash flow, grow or die, change or be changed. The people in the business make the difference. Their attitudes and values drive how the business interacts with the world. What I have done in this book is to set out a view of the Business Planning Process and the People Performance Management Process and how the two should tie in together. I hope this will be useful to the Chief Executive or Senior Manager who is trying to grow a successful business.
