Louisa is a professional writer living in northern California with husband, son, and a slew of critters, both domestic and wild. The family has been off the grid for over twenty years and keeps their carbon footprint small by doing without frig and water heater. Besides writing and caring for critters, both two-legged and four-legged, Louisa is the proud mama of a host of other little beings, namely veggies and flowers, who live in their 8'x16' greenhouse.
